Restaurants in
Rocky Point, Mexico
Where to eat in Rocky
Point? Rocky Point has some very
good restaurants and many more plain or lousy
restaurants. They range from grilling carts with
plastic tables to gourmet full service restaurants, and
everything in between.
Do not down play the taco
carts, they can be a great tasty meal. Tacos are
sold individually with many fixings such as cabbage,
salsa, carrots, onions, radish, and avocado sauce to put on
them or eat with them. You get to select from
beef, pork, or chicken and tell them how many of each.
Tacos with a cold beer or soft drink are wonderful.
Seafood and Mexican fare
are about the only styles available in general.
Fish, shrimp, scallops, and octupus are on every menu. There is not a
great variety in foods now, but surely we can expect more as
tourism demand it. Margaritas are not as great as
in good bars in Arizona, and no one knows how to make a
good non-greasy tortilla chip.
Several new restaurants
have opened with much better food and good service
compared to the very casual shorts and tee shirt dinning
of previous years.
Editor's Picks
La Maria Bistro at the Las Palomas Resort at Sandy Beach, is the first upscale fine
dinning experience. The restaurant interior is
modern and intimate with very good food and service.
Hacienda De Las Fuentes is
a large Mexican Hacienda style restaurant. The
owners have spent a lot of money building a very nice
and comfortable restaurant. The service is better
than most other restaurants. The food is
nicely presented and tastes better than most Mexican
restaurants in town.
